What is Tempest?
All electrical and electronic equipment produces unintentional radiation,
which could be intercepted by a receiving device some distance away from the equipment.
TEMPEST is defined as the study of the emission of unintentional protectively marked data
(usually Confidential and above) from an equipment or system. If these emissions were
intercepted and analysed they could reveal compromising emanations and thus the
protectively marked data. The standards which NATO requires for the suppression of TEMPEST
signals are classified and are in the AMSG (Allied Military Standards General) series.
Volume Manufacture and Process Control
API is able to build significant volumes of equipment;
as it has invested in its people and the necessary production processes
that enable the company to meet customer's delivery needs.
Tempest Computers, Displays and Peripherals
API has been providing product support services to the Intelligence
Community for more than 30 years. Service has been traditionally performed at the
Columbia, MD facility in the USA. However, with the opening of the European HQ and
strategic partner agreements put in place with TUV Product Services, API is able to offer
a world-class Tempest service from with in Europe.
